La ricerca artistica di Nicola de Silvestri vuole dare forma al mutamento, alla velocità, al movimento nello spazio. Ma non un’istantanea del movimento, piuttosto una riproduzione del momento in cui il corpo attraversa lo spazio fondendosi con esso.

I temi trattati dalle sue opere sono archetipi classici e religiosi reinterpretati in maniera visionaria dall’artista che aggiunge materia su materia fino a quando non ottiene la giusta quantità di volume adatta a descrivere la scena. Nella dinamicità delle anatomie si possono osservare i pezzi di cera che vanno a comporre il corpo ricreando in maniera passionale la velocità e l’impossibilità di scattare un fotogramma perfetto e fisso nello spazio.

The artistic research of Nicola de Silvestri wants to give shape to the change, the speed, the movement through the space. But not a snapshot of the movement, rather a reproduction of the moment in which the body passes through the space merging with it.

The topics rapresented in his works are archetypes and religious classics reinterpreted in a visionary way by the artist that adds material on the subject until he gets the right amount of volume suitable to describe the scene. In the dynamism of the anatomy we can see the pieces of wax that make up the body in a passionate way, recreating the speed and the inability to take a perfect frame and fixed it into the space.
