Gianluca Lerici A.K.A. Prof. Bad Trip

The fascinating artistic project by Gianluca Lerici developed, similarly to the one by Pliny the Elder, close to an erupting volcano’s crater, probably wearing a pair of 3D blue and red spectacles, in order to fully enjoy the cataclysm. The programme of this determined former grower of mussels from La Spezia, reveals all of its mischievousness since the choice of a stripping nom de plume: Bad Trip. The meaning of this alias, for those who are not familiar with the culture of dope, refers to the problems related to a negative experience with the lysergic acid; it refers to those situations in which the traveller, instead of experiencing a sense of complete sympathy with the universe in the company of bodhisattvas, unicorns and rainbows, finds himself thrown in the middle of a horrible claustrophobic rave, among stinky and deformed demons.
